The name is Deol, Sunny Deol and he has a dhai kilo ka haath due to which he has been ruling Bollywood since 1983. Sunny made his debut 34 years back with Betaab and every female Bollywood buff went crazy over his innocent looks and physique; he went on to do well in films till the mid-1990s when the ΓÇÿKhansΓÇÖ took over, although his biggest hit came in 2001 when he acted in Gadar ΓÇô Ek Prem Katha. Today, on his 61st Birthday, letΓÇÖs trace the career of BollywoodΓÇÖs He-Man who once danced to kick-start his career and now kicks villains to stay in the game.

Jab Hum Jawaan Honge ΓÇô Betaab (RD Burman, 1983)

Through Betaab, both Amrita Singh and Sunny Deol became household names and the prime reason were the songs, like this one.

Badal Yun Garajta Hai ΓÇô Betaab (RD Burman, 1983)

This was possibly the first song that was cleared by the Censor people after thinking twice; it was not only integral to the plot but was one of the biggest hits of the year.

Aur Kia Ahde Wafa ΓÇô Sunny (RD Burman, 1984)

In his second film, Sunny got to work with his father Dharmendra but the two didnΓÇÖt share a scene; however, he got to lip-sync Suresh WadekarΓÇÖs hit song that is still popular after 3 decades

Chori Chori Jab ΓÇô Paap Ki Dunya (Bappi Lahiri, 1988)

A heavily inspired song, a very attractive Neelum and a Sunny Deol who could dance ΓÇô it canΓÇÖt get better than this.

Main Teri Mohabbat Main ΓÇô Tridev (Kalyanji ΓÇô Anandji, 1989)

Tridev was a huge hit flick and its songs became a rage including this one in which Sunny Deol romances with Madhuri.

Pyar Tum Mujhse Karti Ho ΓÇô Ghayal (Bappi Lahiri, 1990)

Ghayal changed the way Sunny Deol portrayed characters in the films as it made him an instant action hero who could kill as many men as possible. This song was in the film before he became the savior of humanity.

Main Nikla Gadi le kay ΓÇô Gadar Ek Prem Katha (Uttam Singh, 2001)

Sunny DeolΓÇÖs last hit came out when he was 45 and since then he has been looking for another hit; the soundtrack of the film became popular including this song by Udit Narayan.

Yeh Dhai Kilo Ka Haath ΓÇô Damini

Sunny Deol had a guest appearance in the film but all his dialogues were explosive and hard hitting. This one told the world that he had a hand that weighed exactly 2.5 kilogram and it is better not to mess with him.

Tareekh Pe Tareekh ΓÇô Damini

Here he tells the honorable judge not to extend the date of hearing, and his dialogues weigh as much as his hand.

Yeh Mazdoor Ka Haath Hai ΓÇô Ghatak

This scene immortalized Sunny Deol as an action hero for life where he goes into the villainΓÇÖs den and defeats his men, only to tell him that buying him is not an option.
